So I finally got to see The Dark Knight on DVD and I really don't understand what all the fuss was about. It really isn't that good. Sure there are a lot of expensive special effects, explosions and shiny gadgets but the plot is silly, the sound patchy and the editing awful. In most of the action scenes you can't even see what's happening. Heath Ledger is good but didn't we already know that? Yikes, go rent Brokeback Mountain if you want to see acting, as opposed to a performance.
Oh yeah. Note to Michael Caine: enough of the Cockney folk-wisdom crap. It's really getting to be annoying, mate.
